Founded in 2003, Rochen has delivered premium web hosting services backed by responsive human support for tens of thousands of customers worldwide. Today, Rochen One — our latest managed cloud hosting platform — builds on that success by combining premium AWS infrastructure, a performance-optimized stack and integrated edge services to deliver speed, security and reliability for almost any size or type of website. From small business Joomla and WordPress sites to high-traffic WooCommerce stores, customers can host and flexibly scale it all on Rochen One.
Through our intuitive My Rochen portal, customers can easily manage their services while benefiting from free site migrations, flexible usage-based billing and the ability to scale from smaller sites to those with millions of visitors. Rochen One is a fully managed platform backed by 24/7 white-glove support from our in-house team. The platform is also certified by the Green Web Foundation as running on 100% renewable energy, so you can host with confidence.
With registered entities in both the United Kingdom and the United States, server infrastructure in AWS data centers across multiple continents, and team members based around the world, Rochen is a truly global operation able to support you day or night. No outsourced support. No frustrating call centers. No unnecessary upsells. We want to feel like a trusted extension of your own team. We support a wide range of customers, from small businesses and web design studios to government agencies and enterprises with more complex hosting requirements.

Rochen has been deeply invested in the open source community since the early days of Joomla in 2005, and we remain the official hosting provider for Joomla.org to this day. Over the years, we’ve continuously evolved our platform to meet — and exceed — the needs of many of the world’s leading open source applications, including WordPress, Drupal, Magento, and of course, Joomla. Most recently, that commitment has continued with the launch of Rochen One, bringing together open source technologies such as Redis Object Caching with the convenience of fully managed support.
Our commitment goes beyond technology. We actively support the open source community through event participation, sponsorship and direct engagement at leading gatherings around the world, including WordCamps, DrupalCon, JoomlaDays and the very first Joomla Developer Conference. In some cases, we contribute through sponsorship alone; at others, we share our knowledge through presentations we hope will be useful to attendees, and we’ll occasionally have a booth presence as well.

Open source is part of Rochen’s DNA, and we remain proud to champion the communities and initiatives that help power the modern web. Open source technologies also play an important role within our own business, from building our website with the Grav CMS to powering the My Rochen portal with React Native and, of course, running an enterprise Linux distribution across our fleet of servers.
With Linux playing such a central role in our infrastructure, it felt only right to create our own Rochen Penguin to hand out at open source events — a nod to Tux and a light-hearted giveaway that has become a popular favorite in the community and amongst customers.
Maybe a Rochen Penguin is already on tech support duty at your desk? 🐧
